Residential houses damaged by Azerbaijani fires at Karmir Shuka and Taghavard communities in Artsakh – Public Radio of Armenia

On September 12, at around 04:00-04:30 in the morning, the Azerbaijani side opened fire from positions in front of the Karmir Shuka and Taghavard communities of the Martuni region of the Republic of Artsakh, using firearms of various calibers and types. The shooting lasted about 30 minutes, informs the mediator of Artsakh, Gegham Stepanyan.

According to verified information, as a result of the criminal actions of Azerbaijan, two residential houses were damaged in the community of Karmir Shuka. In the case of one of the houses, the bullet hit the second floor balcony door and entered the room of the house. The four family members, including a minor, were at home and woke up to the gunshots.

In another case, the bullet hit a shed adjoining a residential building.

A house was damaged in the community of Taghavard and a DSHK large caliber machine gun bullet was found in the yard of a nearby house.

The staff of the Mediator continues the activity of investigation to reveal the damage caused to the civilian population.

“These actions are further proof of Azerbaijan’s criminal behavior against the life, physical and psychological integrity of the people of Artsakh, the policy of ethnic cleansing carried out against the people of Artsakh, which is aimed at terrorizing the inhabitants of ‘Artsakh and disrupt their normal life. life and activities,” said the Ombudsman.
