Aimed at families and four-legged friends, each of the three and four-bedroom beach houses have been designed to offer privacy and a relaxed haven of luxury with an open kitchen-living-dining room, wood-burning stoves and wraparound terraces. with sunken cedar hot tubs, barrel saunas and barbecue grills. Beach houses are painted in bright hues and named after the owner’s favorite songs, from Strawberry Fields and Yellow Submarine to Echo Beach and Purple Rain. Whitewashed interiors see Cornish craftsmanship happily rub shoulders with eclectic works of art collected on trips around the world, a far cry from the traditional nautical theme so much seen in Cornish properties. Well-equipped kitchens make family feasts at home easy, while those who don’t feel like cooking can book talented private chefs, rent Ooni pizza ovens with DIY baskets, head to the open-air restaurant of Three Mile Beach which offers casual dining all day. , or enjoy quieter Cornwall and book into one of St Ives’ most popular restaurants.

Families will love the hassle-free rental of wetsuits and surfboards, both delivered directly to guests’ doorsteps, surfing and coasteering lessons can be arranged with a nearby surf school. E-bike rentals, foraging and cooking classes are some of the other activities that can be arranged, along with mackerel fishing which is only available in October. A Three Mile Beach guidebook offers guests local insight into hidden gems and must-see sights, from viewpoints and nature trails for all abilities along the rugged Cornish coastline, to local restaurants, cafes and independent shops.
