Four residential homes damaged by fire

SRINAGAR: At least four houses were damaged during a devastating fire break in the old town of Baramulla, in Baramulla district, north Kashmir on Saturday afternoon.
Citing official sources, the GNS news agency reported that a team of police and firefighters went to the scene shortly after obtaining the information.
They said the fire started in one apartment house and engulfed at least three others in no time. As this report was filed, the flames were brought under control by the fire and emergency department with the assistance of police and residents.
A fire and emergency department said 8 tenders had been dispatched to the scene. The reason for the fire was not immediately known and is being investigated, officials said. There are no reports of injury to anyone in the incident.
