CIHR hosts open days for those interested in its Culinary Management and Tourism programs

Vero Beach – Saturday October 16, 2022: Indian River State College has scheduled three open houses to connect job seekers with its Culinary Management and Hospitality and Tourism Management programs.

The events take place on October 20, 2022, March 9, 2023, and April 22, 2023 at the College’s Mueller campus at 6155 College Lane in Vero Beach.

The October 20 and March 9 events will take place from 6-7 p.m. in room C-105 of the Richardson Center, coinciding with Student Orientation and Registration (SOAR). The April 22 open house will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., also in room C-105 of the Richardson Centre.

The events are aimed at prospective students, veterans and members of the public who may be interested in exploring a career in the Sunshine State’s number one industry. Participants can take a guided tour of the Richardson Center and its culinary kitchen. Teachers from the Culinary and Hospitality programs will be on hand to answer questions.

At the open house, prospective students will learn about CIHR’s Associate of Science degree programs in Culinary Management and Hospitality and Tourism Management, technical certifications, and the Culinary Learning Program “earn in learner”.

Employers interested in CIHR’s culinary and hospitality training programs can also attend one of the open house events.

CIHR offers one of the most affordable culinary and hospitality programs in Florida. Students who complete the Culinary Management program will possess the skills required to work in a variety of food service [SB1] careers. From planning a menu and pricing meals, to coordinating staff and ensuring food quality and safety, students learn about classic cuisine, international and regional foods, baking, and baking. baking, catering and banquet management, among other essential skills.
